How To Buy F1 Tickets? The Pitlane Twins Know All the Tricks!

How to buy F1 tickets? Virginia and Desiree know it all.

We would never have imagined that we would have so many magnets from different destinations hanging on our fridges. You have to know that we didn't like going on holiday at all until we were 24 years old. We didn't even know what to do. So we just stayed at home. The fact that we have now left our home continent of Europe and travelled several hours by plane and thousands of kilometres is down to one thing: F1.

When we flew to Barcelona for the first race in 2018, we never thought that this would mark the beginning of a new chapter in our lives: the beginning of the era "attending races is our kind of vacation".  Since then, we've attended over 15 international races and, as you can imagine, have built up a wealth of knowledge about how to get the most out of an F1 race, where to save a few euros or what the best tickets are. On our Instagram account @pitlane_twins we share a lot of other content besides this F1 travelling knowledge, like funny reels.

There are three questions that we get asked repeatedly:

  1. Where do you buy your tickets? That's a very legitimate question, because we also often hear that fans are afraid of being cheated. Sure, because the tickets are expensive and the thought of standing at the race track and not being let in is frightening. We can wholeheartedly recommend P1 Travel, because we have had very good experiences with this shop ourselves, they have fair prices and are reliable. With our code P1PLTWINS20 you can save 20€ on your F1 tickets. Click here to check out all the Formula 1 ticket prices.

  2. What should I bring to the race track? Besides the sun cream, you should also bring snacks and the right clothing. At our first races, we bought merchandise directly at the track and realized how expensive it is there. That hasn't changed now either, which is why we always recommend ordering merchandise online in advance. With our code PITLANETWINS you can even save 10% at https://www.cmcmotorsports.com/

  3. How do you find suitable accommodation? Basically, the choice of accommodation always depends on how much standard you need and how much budget you have. For example, we don't necessarily need a hotel and have often saved money by booking through Airbnb. At some race tracks it is difficult to find accommodation at all, let alone one that is close by. Hotels can then be a good choice and travel packages such as those from P1 Travel.

Do you have a question for us? Let us know in our DMs

We love answering the F1 travel questions of our community. We've also brought all our knowledge together in our eBook, which you can buy for a small price here https://pitlanetwins.tentary.com/ . This eBook really does contain all the things worth knowing that we can share about F1 Travelling. Feel free to write to us on Instagram @pitlane_twins if you are interested in F1 travel and perhaps have a question about a particular Grand Prix. By the way: our favourite European race is Spielberg, because it offers a brilliant view of the entire track with its grandstands, has always been very well organized and has a focus on fan engagement. Have fun!

Hi, I'm Ana, the brain behind the Pit Lane Magazine. I am a Formula 1 fan who had a very simple idea - publish a Formula 1 blog where I’ll share latest F1 news and updates.

However, my simple idea eventually turned to be something a lot bigger! Pit Lane Magazine now covers more than six motorsport categories and is a home to a number of writers all around the world. But the truth is, we’re only just beginning!

Thank you for liking, sharing, and supporting Pit Lane Magazine. It means a world to all of us.
